Senior Accountant
Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial reporting
- Support audit and tax processes, including coordination with external auditors and tax advisors
- Apply ASC 606 guidance to revenue streams, including healthcare reimbursement revenue
- Build and maintain revenue recognition schedules and deferred revenue tracking
- Partner with operations and billing teams to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and consistently
- Document revenue policies and procedures
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across entities
- Ensure proper allocation of shared costs and revenue between related entities
- Maintain intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation support
- Experience with professional corporations in healthcare is a plus
- Prepare internal financial statements and variance analyses
- Assist with the development of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Improve close timelines and process efficiency through automation and tooling
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and evolving accounting standards
- Help implement and optimize accounting systems and tools (e.g., ERP, billing, payroll, expense platforms)
- Build scalable workflows to support company growth
- Create documentation and SOPs for key accounting processes

What Success Looks Like in This Role
- Month-end close completed on time with clean reconciliations and minimal post-close adjustments
- Revenue recognized accurately and consistently under ASC 606
- Intercompany balances fully reconciled each month
- Documented accounting policies and SOPs in place
- Improved close efficiency and reporting reliability over the first 6–12 months
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or national/regional firm strongly preferred)
- CPA or CPA-eligible
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including hands-on experience with ASC 606
- Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity structures
- Proven experience owning month-end close processes
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in healthcare, health tech, or SaaS
- Experience with reimbursement-based revenue models (e.g., insurance, patient billing)
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- Experience implementing or working within modern accounting systems (e.g., Rillet, Ramp, Gusto)
