We attract and retain the best talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop themselves and their careers. Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.

Job Duties

We are seeking a hands-on and qualified AI Agent Architect to design and deploy advanced Agentic AI systems—comprising task-specific autonomous tools governed by a master agent—to support complex technical decision-making in industrial environments.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who can independently deliver full-stack intelligent agents that interpret natural language queries and generate precise, context-aware outputs by interacting with structured and unstructured data, APIs, and analytical engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop a multi-agent AI framework where autonomous agents coordinate to solve domain-specific technical queries.
  • Leverage LLMs, NLP, and tool-based reasoning to automate data extraction, analysis, and insight generation.
  • Build agents capable of integrating with engineering tools, simulators, databases, and knowledge sources.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to align agent behavior with technical expectations and constraints.
  • Implement safeguards to ensure accuracy, traceability, and reliability of AI-generated outputs.
  • Continuously optimize prompting, agent orchestration, and performance under real-world conditions.

Qualifications

Certifications:

  • Azure AI Engineer or Azure Data Engineer certification is a plus.
  • AWS experience is nice to have, but not required.

Industry Experience:

  • Oil and gas domain experience is a strong advantage, especially familiarity with digital operations or engineering workflows.
  • However, candidates with relevant AI system-building experience in other complex industries are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated expertise in building Agentic AI architectures, using frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom stacks.
  • Strong foundation in LLM-based NLP, prompt engineering, and context-aware reasoning.
  • Advanced Python programming and experience deploying AI workflows in cloud or containerized environments.
  • Ability to work with APIs, data models, and external toolchains across complex systems.
  • Comfortable operating independently with minimal supervision in a cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to industrial domains such as energy, manufacturing, or heavy engineering.
  • Understanding of vector databases, knowledge graphs, and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS development environments.

Our customers, major Russian and global petroleum companies like Gazprom JSC, NC Gazprom Neft JSC, LUKOIL JSC, NC Rosneft JSC, Exxon Mobil, Shell, Total, as well as small and medium-sized oil and gas enterprises, face complex challenges in locating, extracting, and producing hydrocarbons. This is why we provide a comprehensive suite of products, services, and integrated solutions. From initial exploration and geological data management to drilling, formation evaluation, well construction, completion, and production optimization, we are there every step of the way. Our customers count on us to deliver superior technologies and services that bring tangible value to their assets and operations, enabling them to tackle tough challenges and extend the production life of their oil and gas resources. We understand that our clients need to navigate narrow pressure windows in deepwater drilling, manage complex data flows for decision-making, and ensure the safety and efficiency of their operations. That's why we develop innovative solutions like our iCruise intelligent rotary steerable system and the iStar™ Intelligent Drilling and Logging Platform.

Founded in 1919 by Erle P. Halliburton, our company has a rich history of innovation, starting with a revolutionary method of cementing wells. This spirit of ingenuity continues to drive us as we operate in over 70 countries with a diverse workforce. Our customers benefit from our two main divisions: Drilling and Evaluation, and Completion and Production. The Drilling and Evaluation segment offers advanced field and reservoir modeling, drilling solutions, and wellbore placement services, enabling precise execution and improved operational efficiency. The Completion and Production segment focuses on essential services such as cementing, stimulation, intervention, pressure control, specialty chemicals, artificial lift, and completion services, all designed to maximize well productivity. We also recognize the importance of data in modern energy exploration and production.
