The Program Manager, HR Implementations, will have a critical role in overseeing and managing all HR aspects of new business implementations. This role will involve managing HR processes related to onboarding new clients, ensuring the processes from recruitment to onboarding and compliance, are effectively integrated into new business operations.

The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with solid project management skills, an understanding of HR processes, and a deep knowledge of supply chain operations. The Program Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that HR implementations align with the overall business objectives and drive operational excellence within the supply chain.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, staffing plans, and budgets for HR implementations.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Plan and support joint planning sessions with cross-functional GXO and Customer resources teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as the primary HR contact for new business pursuits for internal and external stakeholders
    • Work closely with Talent Acquisition, L&D, Implementations PMO, HR, IT, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of HR systems and processes.
    • Facilitate communication between clients, project teams, and senior management to provide updates on project status and address any issues.
    • Effectively escalate project issues to stakeholders clearly and concisely to drive needed decisions.
  • Implementation and Execution:
    • Lead the implementation of HR systems, tools, recruitment, and overall general HR processes for all new customers, including GXO site relocations and business expansion.
    • Ensure all HR initiatives comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Change Management:
    • Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions during HR implementations.
    • Communicate changes effectively to all levels of the organization, ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain operations.
    • Provide support and resources to employees to help them adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance HR operations within the supply chain.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in HR and supply chain management.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of HR implementations.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on project performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project/program management, preferably within HR or supply chain environments.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex HR implementations and/or projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel when needed up to 25%

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other HR-related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in a supply chain, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment
