As the Senior Manager of Data Infrastructure and Analytics at Gurobi Optimization, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of company's data systems and infrastructure. This includes ensuring data availability, reliability, security, and performance to support business intelligence, analytics, and other data-driven initiatives. You will lead data architecture efforts for large-scale modernization initiatives, ensuring optimal data management and delivery. This role involves overseeing data migration strategies, designing centralized databases, and implementing data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, data warehousing skills, expertise in ETL processes and scripting, data modeling, and proficiency in modern reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing and executing a roadmap for the data infrastructure, aligning it with the company's overall business goals.
  • Overseeing the execution of data infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead data architecture efforts for large-scale modernization initiatives.
  • Oversee and execute data migration strategies, tools, and documentation.
  • Design and implement centralized databases and data warehouse solutions.
  • Ensuring the data infrastructure is highly performant and scalable to meet the growing needs of the organization.
  • Evaluating and recommending appropriate technologies for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Develop complex SQL queries and support ETL/data delivery processes.
  • Analyze CRM, ERP, and legacy data systems.
  • Collaborate on data governance, master data management, and cleansing.
  • Create and maintain data models for reporting purposes.
  • Utilize modern reporting tools (such as Power BI, Tableau) for data visualization.
  • Optimize performance baselines and support infrastructure planning.
  • Designing, implementing, and optimizing data storage, processing, and access layers.
  • Ensuring the data infrastructure adheres to relevant data privacy regulations and security best practices.
  • Working with various stakeholders and business users to understand their data needs and ensure the infrastructure effectively supports their requirements.
  • Provide ongoing weekly project reports and technical support.
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams.

What experience and qualifications should you have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Data Analytics) are a plus.
  • 4-6 years of experience in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry.

What skills and abilities should you have?

  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse planning and implementation.
  • Proven expertise in ETL scripting, transformation logic, and performance tuning.
  • Strong skills in SQL, database lifecycle management, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with data governance, master data management, and data cleansing practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage projects, and influence stakeholders.

What other requirements should you have?

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data environments, including data integration, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to data infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, etc.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, and collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
