Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop extensive GridX product expertise and establish credibility with internal stakeholders and clients as a trusted advisor on all key aspects of our software's capabilities and implementation needs.
  • Collaborate across the company to support the end-to-end GridX software implementation process, from sales to delivery to operations.

  • Assist in developing pricing, costing, and delivery schedules for individual implementations, in collaboration with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams.
  • Evaluate individual customer needs and requirements against GridX product offerings and capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on GridX products when assessing client needs, identifying project scope, and developing implementation plans.
  • Lead client workshops and information gathering sessions centered around data acquisition, data mapping, and business requirements.

  • Author functional and technical documents specifying all aspects of a client deployment including requirements, data mapping, integrations, and configurations.
  • Support client roadmap for data integrations, including data gap analysis, data mapping, and data QA analysis.
  • Coordinate product enhancements requests required for specific implementations between Solutions and Product teams.
  • Assist Delivery teams in translating client needs into effective configurations within GridX products.
  • Lead internal and external stakeholder management on individual implementations, ensuring both customer satisfaction and alignment across teams.
  • Help ensure successful delivery of product solutions that exceed client needs and expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Project Manager, or Software Implementation Consultant.
  • Strong affinity for data and background in data architecture or analytics.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to apply a creative and flexible mindset to problem-solving with the ability to focus on the details while maintaining perspective on the big picture.
  • Ability to travel, up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in data science, data analytics, or data architecture.
  • Strong background in data integration, including knowledge of data model/database design concepts and familiarity working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. MySQL, NoSQL).

At the heart of gridX's mission is the drive to revolutionize the energy industry, making 100% renewable energy reliable and affordable for everyone. This ambition began as an idea between two friends, David Balensiefen and Andreas Booke, while cycling through Ecuador in 2015. By May 2016, with the addition of Joel Hermanns and an EXIST scholarship, gridX was officially founded. The company's culture is built on the belief that the energy transition requires large-scale use of renewable energies, and they are dedicated to building the necessary infrastructure. They aim to transform today's unresponsive, legacy energy systems by introducing smart, digital solutions to the sector. This focus on innovation is driven by a team of talented and experienced specialists hailing from leading companies and renowned universities, all united by a common goal: to decrease carbon emissions and build a sustainable energy system for the future.

gridX fosters an agile working environment and a family-like culture, striving to make work exciting, rewarding, and a place where employees feel inspired by the impact of their contributions. The company values the freedom to explore new ideas, learn from like-minded colleagues, and maintain a close-knit team despite having offices in both Aachen (their birthplace) and Munich. Regular virtual and in-person events bridge the geographical distance, reinforcing their 'one team' philosophy. Transparency is key, not just in their solutions but also in their internal processes, including a clear application procedure. The company is organized into four core teams: Growth, responsible for customer interactions; Development, which builds their product from hardware to cloud interfaces; Product, which translates the company vision into a roadmap; and Operations, which keeps the company running smoothly. This collaborative and purpose-driven culture is what gridX believes is the 'magic sauce' behind their work, attracting individuals passionate about accelerating the energy transition and shaping how people will use energy in the years to come. Their commitment extends to building a strong ecosystem of partners, recognizing that collaboration is essential to achieving their ambitious goals in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.
