JOB DESCRIPTION
The Principal Product Manager, Money Movement will drive product strategy and
execution throughout the Product lifecycle for key aspects of the Green Dot
Payments Platform within our Money Movement team. This position will define and prioritize business and customer requirements and work closely with internal and external teams, including vendors and Banking as a Service Partners, to ensure all revenue and stakeholder requirements are met. Internally, this role will work closely with business leaders, Product, Risk, Legal/Compliance, and engineering to develop the product strategy and value proposition -including the customer journeys and user experience, functional processes, risk controls, and success metrics.
Responsibilities:
Lead the holistic solution design, development, and growth effort for B2B and B2C opportunities related to Green Dot’s Payments Platform.
Identify, define, and prioritize projects/features to increase the capability,
performance, resiliency, and scalability of money movement features
Work closely with stakeholders and engineers to evolve and scale the
payments platform by continuing to build out our microservices architecture
using an API-first approach.
Work closely with senior management and the rest of the Money Movement
Product Team to formulate and execute the product roadmap to ensure
revenue growth and cost/profit control. Promote use of new technologies and
identify industry-leading trends.
Define project objectives for initial feature launches and ongoing evolution
leveraging market research, reporting, customer/partner feedback, etc.
Define business and technical requirements to meet the needs of internal
and external stakeholders.
Define and monitor product success metrics and key KPIs.
Act as subject matter expert for all requirements related to payments
services including APIs, business rules, Risk and other controls.
Manage the delivery of continuous and effective services and ensure project
completion is within budget and in accordance with contract requirements.
Triage product defects and ensure proper ownership and delegation toward resolution.
Manage compliance with all IT governance standards through approved
tools, templates, policies, and procedures.
Performs other duties as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, financial, technical, or related field. Software
Development degree highly desired.
7+ years of experience in technology product management with solid
understanding of REST APIs and microservices.
Must have sufficient software engineering knowledge to engage in technical
discussions with engineers, understand architecture details, and make
informed tradeoff decisions.
Experience with payments and money movement required including:
3+ years working in Fintech, Banking, or Financial technology
industries with working knowledge of payments and consumer
financial services.
Experience implementing and/or supporting ACH (RDFI and ODFI)
processing including understanding of the NACHA file format.
Experience implementing and/or supporting instant payments (OCT,
AFT, Ecommerce, etc).
Other payments experience highly desired including:
Prior experience implementing and/or supporting payment rails with
MasterCard Send, Visa Direct, and/or Fiserv.
Experience implementing RTP/FedNow.
Payment Processor knowledge (PTS, First Data etc) and
understanding of ISO 20022 messaging standards
Experience with both B2C and B2B digital products highly desired
