GovRadar, a tech startup based in Munich, is seeking a Data Engineer to develop and operate their central data infrastructure. The role involves building ETL pipelines, optimizing databases, and developing APIs to provide processed data for various systems. Requirements
- Experience in implementing ETL/ELT pipelines with Python
- Knowledge of Apache Airflow or comparable orchestration tools
- Experience with Azure services such as Batch, Queue, Blob Storage and VMs
- Solid understanding of relational data modeling and initial implementation experience with PostgreSQL
- Know-how in performance optimization through indexing, partitioning and query tuning
- Experience with crawlers and processing differently structured data sources
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or comparable search technologies
- Experience with dbt as well as in the creation of reports and dashboards (e.g. with Metabase)
- First experience in developing simple backend services with Python
- Very good German skills (min. C1)
- Team ability, initiative and the desire to continuously develop yourself
