GovCIO is currently hiring an SWF Lead to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Candidates must have experience with VA IT services. This position will be fully remote located within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop and launch a technical approach runbook to enable portfolio directors and product managers to streamline product roadmaps, enhancing technical alignment and accelerating delivery of Veteran-centric services.
- Implement Four Golden Signals at VA to ensure product teams use foundational monitoring data to create meaningful performance measures, improving system reliability and reducing downtime for critical Veteran services.
- Lead the development of Rationalization & Decommissioning Dashboards, establishing tracking mechanisms for system decommissioning and outcome reporting, driving technical debt reduction and modernizing VA’s IT infrastructure for more efficient service delivery.
- Promote Reuse at VA by educating product delivery teams on how to prioritize efficient, high-quality software solutions, reducing redundancy and operational costs while ensuring consistency across VA systems.
- Drive data quality improvements in VASI and define success measures for rationalization efforts, ensuring systems reflect the true current state and capabilities, thus enabling better decision-making and cost-saving measures in Veteran-focused technology initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience
- 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education
- Experience working in Jira and Microsoft Suite
- Power BI experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be a problem solver
Clearance Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability / Public Trust clearance

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
