Group Tax Specialist

The post holder is responsible to assist Group Tax on the day-to-day taxation matters including direct & indirect taxes, Transfer Pricing, statutory compliance, tax advisory and tax planning requirement as well as administrative duties.

• Identify and assess tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Keep abreast of the latest tax developments and update the Management on the latest developments and changes to the tax regulations and analyzing the implications to the Group companies.
• Support, and ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations including corporate income tax, indirect tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing, etc.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely tax returns.
• Provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions and transactions
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify potential tax issues.
• Manage transfer pricing policies to align with global standards and minimize tax risks. Ensure documentation and compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
• Dealing with income tax/ transfer pricing/ withholding tax/ indirect tax audits conducted by the tax authorities and attending to inquiries, together with external advisors when necessary.
• Liaise with Finance, tax consultants, and tax authorities on any tax-related matters.
• Advice on taxation-related matters to various stakeholders (e.g. corporate income tax, withholding tax, permanent establishment, transfer pricing, indirect tax, etc).
• Manage/assist in projects or initiatives such as drafting and updating Group Tax’s policies and procedures, e-Invoicing matters, etc.
• Attend to any ad-hoc tax matters as and when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or any professional qualifications
• 4-5 years of experience in a group taxation role, preferable in services industry.
