(GOBHI) has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing and Event Coordinator. This key position will be based out of the employee’s home office, which will need to be located within the state of Oregon.
The Marketing and Event Coordinator is responsible for increasing visibility, awareness, and engagement for the Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Program through strategic marketing and dynamic event coordination. This role plays a vital part in foster parent recruitment efforts and community education initiatives across the organization’s rural and frontier service areas. This position is also responsible for creating dynamic social media and marketing campaigns to attract foster care families.
Essential duties include:
Marketing and Outreach
- Design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that promote the TFC Program and recruit therapeutic foster families.
- Create engaging content for print, digital, and social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and cultural relevance.
- Collaborate with the GOBHI communications team to coordinate campaigns, press releases, newsletters, and targeted advertising.
- Maintain and distribute outreach materials such as flyers, brochures, banners, and promotional items.
- Track and evaluate marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies
Social Media and Digital Marketing
- Manage and grow the TFC Program's presence on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Develop and schedule regular social media content aligned with program goals and community engagement.
- Create and manage targeted advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
- Analyze and report on social media metrics to optimize performance and reach.
Event Planning and Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and attend public-facing events including community fairs, informational sessions, appreciation events, and training workshops.
- Serve as the TFC Program representative at outreach events, speaking with potential foster families, community stakeholders, and partners.
- Coordinate and staff tabling events in various community settings to build awareness and generate leads.
- Manage all logistics related to event coordination including communication, setup/teardown, supplies, and evaluation.
- Ensure consistent inventory of marketing materials and event supplies, coordinating reorders and shipments as necessary.
Community and Partner Engagement
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with local partners such as schools, clinics, faith communities, businesses, and tribal organizations.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to present and promote the TFC Program within community and professional networks.
- Support the coordination of activities that recognize and engage current foster families, including appreciation campaigns and support events.
Administrative and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and event activities.
- Submit regular reports on engagement outcomes, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in compiling data for internal program evaluation and grant reporting.
- Maintain calendars, communication logs, and travel itineraries related to outreach and events.
- Attends weekly TFC team meetings.
Requirements
What is needed to succeed in this role:
- Two years’ experience in event coordination, marketing, or community outreach.
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
- Familiarity with child welfare, behavioral health, or therapeutic foster care systems.
- Experience working in rural or underserved communities.
- Effectively work with a variety diverse groups of people of all backgrounds and ethnicities.
- Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
- Self motivated and able to work independently in a remote or semi-remote environment.
- Effective presentation skills, including public speaking and meeting facilitation.
- Technology savvy – proficient using MS and Google Suite software products, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Video editing skills preferred but not required.
- Maintains good driving record and required vehicle insurance.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Human Services, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
