They operate multiple renovated cottages with amenities like a heated pool, docks, and lake access, and are known for friendly, hands-on service. The brand is refreshing its web presence and seeks to expand awareness and direct bookings across digital channels.
Why does this role exist?The client needs an experienced, autonomous Google Ads Specialist to establish strong tracking, build and optimize high-performing campaigns, and drive more direct bookings while improving efficiency. The hire will own strategy and hands-on execution across Google (priority) and, Meta, with a focus on Ontario family audiences. The goal is to quickly set a performance baseline, improve CTR/Quality Score, lower CPA, increase ROAS on booking campaigns, and grow brand awareness.
The Impact you’ll make
Kickoff Discovery
- Audit current ad accounts, assets, and goals; confirm KPIs (bookings, CPA, CAC, ROAS).
Tracking Setup
- Verify/implement GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel/Conversions API, and conversion events for bookings.
Strategy Plan
- Develop a 2-week content/campaign plan focusing on audience targeting, messaging, and seasonal promotions.
Campaign Setup
- Set up initial campaigns on Google and Meta, including search, remarketing, and prospecting.
Creative Support
- Edit existing photos in Canva for ads and organic posts.
Optimization Reporting
- Perform daily/regular bid and creative adjustments, provide weekly check-in emails for the first two weeks, and then biweekly or monthly reporting after stabilization.
Performance optimization
- A/B testing, bid management, CPA/ROAS focus.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
- Proven experience running Google Ads and Meta campaigns for hospitality or local service businesses.
- Proven ability to implement and validate tracking with GA4 and Google Tag Manager, including conversion events.
- Demonstrable results lowering CPA and improving ROAS for booking or reservation-driven campaigns.
- Strong English communication (spoken/written) with a track record of operating autonomously and proactively.
- Proficiency with Canva for quick creative edits to support ads.

- Technical: Google Ads (Search, Display/Discovery, remarketing), GA4, GTM, conversion/event tracking, UTM tagging, audience segmentation, keyword research, geo‑targeting, A/B testing, bid/budget management, performance analysis, reporting.
- Creative: Ad copywriting, image selection/editing in Canva, creative testing and refresh cadence.
- Soft skills: Ownership mindset, proactive problem solver, highly organized, data‑driven, clear communicator, comfortable proposing strategy and working with minimal oversight, hospitality/customer‑centric thinking.
- Nice to have: Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) campaign management and social optimization; familiarity with scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
