Job Description Summary

The Offshore Wind EHS Leader is a critical role within GE Vernova’s global Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) function and part of the EHS Leadership Team, overseeing a team of EHS professionals, both employees and contractors, dispersed throughout the United States and Europe. This position's primary responsibilities involve supporting the EHS needs of our Customer Project Execution and Services business, offering guidance and consultation on all aspects of EHS pertaining to the transportation, construction, commissioning, and servicing of offshore wind turbines to achieve safe and compliant operations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide active EHS leadership, guidance and mentoring for the project and operations team
  • Lead a team of EHS professionals who are working at different sites
  • Establish and communicate EHS targets and determine related KPIs for the project
  • Overall responsible for incident management, regulatory compliance, and GE Vernova Wind EHS requirements
  • Actively participate and coordinate hazard identification and risk management processes
  • Ensure contractor safety management program execution
  • Identify and inspect hazards and define corrective measures for their elimination
  • Prepare proposals for improving safety standards and observance thereof
  • Drive and support positive project stakeholder relationships
  • Identify and deliver the implementation of EHS objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Occupational HSE (or related field)
  • Extensive senior‑level HSE leadership experience within offshore wind is required. Background in other segments of the wind energy industry or in oil&gas will be considered when supported by relevant exposure to offshore operations.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams/projects/programs.

Responsable EHS Offshore Wind

Le poste de Responsable EHS Offshore Wind est une fonction essentielle au sein de la direction mondiale Environnement, Santé et Sécurité (EHS) de GE Vernova, et fait partie de l’équipe de direction EHS. Il supervise une équipe de professionnels EHS, salariés et prestataires, répartis aux États-Unis et en Europe. Les principales responsabilités de ce poste consistent à soutenir les besoins EHS de nos activités d’exécution de projets clients et de services, en apportant conseil et expertise sur tous les aspects EHS liés au transport, à la construction, à la mise en service et à la maintenance des éoliennes offshore, afin de garantir des opérations sûres et conformes.

Responsabilités

  • Fournir un leadership EHS actif, ainsi que des conseils et du mentorat à l’équipe projet et opérations
  • Diriger une équipe de professionnels EHS travaillant sur différents sites
  • Définir et communiquer les objectifs EHS et déterminer les indicateurs de performance clés (KPI) associés au projet
  • Assurer la responsabilité globale de la gestion des incidents, de la conformité réglementaire et des exigences EHS Wind de GE Vernova
  • Participer activement aux processus d’identification des dangers et de gestion des risques, et en assurer la coordination
  • Garantir l’exécution du programme de gestion de la sécurité des sous-traitants
  • Identifier et inspecter les dangers et définir les mesures correctives pour les éliminer
  • Préparer des propositions visant à améliorer les normes de sécurité et leur respect
  • Développer et soutenir des relations positives avec les parties prenantes du projet
  • Identifier et piloter la mise en œuvre des objectifs EHS

Qualifications requises

  • Licence / Bachelor en HSE au travail (ou domaine connexe)
  • Une vaste expérience de direction HSE de haut niveau dans le domaine de l'éolien offshore est requise.. Une expérience dans d’autres segments de l’industrie éolienne ou dans le pétrole et gaz pourra être prise en compte si elle s’accompagne d’une exposition pertinente aux opérations offshore.
  • Certification CSP (Certified Safety Professional) ou statut de membre chartered de l’Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) souhaité
  • Capacité démontrée à diriger des équipes, des projets ou des programmes
