GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks a highly skilled System Administrator II to provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of complex IT systems in a remote work environment. The candidate will support enterprise environments to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations of systems and applications across multiple platforms and networks. This position requires deep technical knowledge, leadership in automation and optimization, and the ability to solve complex issues in dynamic IT environments.

Essential functions/responsibilities

- Administer, configure, and optimize operating systems, virtual environments, and enterprise systems in compliance with federal IT and security standards.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable system architectures that ensure performance, reliability, and security.
- Perform system configuration, patch management, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Participate in major system upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, configuration baselines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Identify and resolve complex system issues; provide root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with network, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure integrated and secure operations.
- Support compliance audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities.
- Contribute to automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual workload.

Information Security and Confidentiality Obligations

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in system administration, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, or a similar technical role.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows Server and/or Linux environments in an enterprise or federal setting.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and system monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure operations.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues.
- Working knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
Required Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Server Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Proficiency in enterprise administration tools such as ServiceNow, Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), IBM BigFix, Jamf, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), and Chrome Enterprise.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS, Azure, or hybrid systems.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and ITIL-based change, incident, and problem management processes.
- Proven ability to lead or contribute to enterprise-level system migrations, integrations, and modernization projects.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical details In layman's terms.

- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Work environment
- This work is normally completed in a remote environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
