About the Role
Fyfe is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role plays a vital part in providing comprehensive project administration and financial support across all projects within our Finance Business Unit.
You will be capable of working with limited supervision and will demonstrate maturity, initiative, and sound professional judgement in carrying out responsibilities. The successful applicant will be employed through our partner agency in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking within financial systems
- Monitor project performance against budgets, identifying cost variances and potential risks
- Prepare regular project financial reports, including cost-to-complete and margin analysis
- Support monthly close processes, including WIP, accruals, and provisions
- Ensure timely and accurate project invoicing
- Assist in resolving billing disputes and commercial issues impacting cash collection
- Raise invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Conduct project financial analysis
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven experience in payroll and timesheet coordination, including compliance
- Experience in project accounting, preferably within engineering, professional services, or construction environments
- Strong understanding of project costing, forecasting, and revenue recognition
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
