WordPress Developer + Creative Designer

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented contractor witha hybrid skill set in WordPress development, wireframing, and creative design.This individual will be responsible for managing and updating our website,improving UX/UI flows, creating visual content, and supporting ongoingmarketing and campaign needs.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Lead, the contractor willcollaborate with Marketing, and Content teams to build engaging digitalexperiences that drive brand visibility, user engagement, and lead generation.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building webpages, designing creative assets, and working in a fast-paced B2B marketingenvironment.

Skills Requirements:

• Proven expertise in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and performance optimization
  
• Ability to create translate wireframes into responsive, functional, and visually engaging web pages using tools like Miro, Figma, Adobe XD, etc
  
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (basic to intermediate)
  
• Perform ongoing website maintenance, including SEO updates, technical SEO improvements, and resolving bugs or broken links to ensure optimal performance and discoverability.
  
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design tools for creative designing
  
• Ability to manage multiple web and design requests in parallel, with quick turnaround
  
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and taking ownership of deliverables
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the company’s WordPress website, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and SEO compatibility
  
• Create and execute wireframes and prototypes for new pages, microsites, and campaign-specific landing pages
  
• Design creative assets for digital marketing including banners, social media posts, emailers, and infographics
  
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams to translate briefs into visually engaging, conversion-oriented designs
  
• Optimize visual and code elements to enhance page load speed and mobile responsiveness
  
• Support ongoing campaign and event design needs, including webpage creation, collateral design, and brand assets
  
• Ensure design consistency and brand alignment across all digital materials
  
• Participate in weekly check-ins and align work with content, design, and campaign calendars
  
• Stay up to date on design trends, WordPress updates, and user experience best practices
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in WordPress development and creative design (agency or B2B brand experience preferred)
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Visual Communication, or related field
  
• Demonstrated portfolio of website and design projects
  
• Experience working with marketing and sales teams to support demand generation
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently on tight deadlines
