As the first dedicated DevOps specialist on our team, you'll take ownership of our entire infrastructure landscape – transitioning between cloud environments, establishing automated pipelines, and creating the foundation that will power the FoodHealth Score for tens of millions of users. What You'll Do
Cloud Architecture Transformation: Lead our infrastructure evolution across Digital Ocean and AWS environments, implementing best practices while maintaining system reliability during transitions.
Pipeline Automation: Design and implement CI/CD processes that streamline deployments, enhance quality, and accelerate our development lifecycle.
Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously enhance system performance to support rapid user growth and data processing demands.
Infrastructure as Code: Develop automation tools that allow us to efficiently deploy, scale, and manage our distributed systems.
Security Implementation: Build robust security protocols that protect our critical data and services while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Service Level Engineering: Develop and maintain Service Level Indicators and Objectives that ensure reliable performance of our production systems.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers to support operational aspects of application development in our PHP, Laravel, and Python environments.
Who You Are
Infrastructure Navigator: Hands-on experience building and running highly available, cloud-based services in production environments.
Cloud Environment Expert: Proficient with cloud services (Digital Ocean, AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
Technical Communicator: Able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and bring clarity to ambiguous challenges.
Bold Problem Solver: You're not shy about proposing solutions and diving into details – you bring creativity and excitement to technical challenges.
Multi-Domain Thinker: Bright, curious mind that enjoys touching multiple aspects of infrastructure and system design.
Automation Enthusiast: Strong scripting abilities with Python, Bash, or similar languages to create efficient workflows and tools.

Compensation: Salary $140K - $190K plus equity, bonus, and comprehensive benefits
