Senior PHP Consultant – WordPress Customization

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior PHP Consultant with deep expertise in WordPress customization to join our team on a short-term, high-impact project. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and enhancing custom plugins and themes, integrating third-party APIs, and delivering scalable, performance-driven WordPress solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and extend WordPress themes and plugins.

• Write clean, scalable, and efficient PHP code for high-performance applications.

• Architect and integrate third-party APIs and services.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for better performance and security.

• Collaborate closely with designers and frontend developers to ensure seamless UI/UX.

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to maintain coding standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP and MySQL development.

• In-depth understanding of WordPress core, plugin and theme development.

• Proficient in working with REST APIs, custom hooks, and filters.

• Strong grasp of version control systems like Git.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
