Flashfood

Flashfood is a mission-driven marketplace connecting shoppers with discounted surplus groceries from more than 2,000 grocery stores across North America. Through its free iOS and Android app, shoppers can browse fresh produce, meat, dairy, baked goods, and pantry staples at discounts of up to 50%, then reserve and pick up their orders from participating grocery locations. The platform is used by more than 1.5 million shoppers and helps families reduce grocery costs while giving retailers a new way to recover revenue from products approaching their best-by dates.

Founded in 2016 by Josh Domingues and now led by CEO Jordan Schenck, Flashfood has kept more than 175 million pounds of food out of landfills since its founding. The company also gives retailers visibility into surplus and shrink data, supporting more informed merchandising decisions and measurable waste reduction. Its mission is to feed families rather than landfills by expanding access to high-quality, affordable food, improving retailer economics, and building a more sustainable food system.
