Fingermark are partnering with some of the world’s biggest QSR brands to deliver innovative solutions that transform how they do business. To help us deliver on our vision, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team.

About the role

This is a permanent Senior Full Stack Engineer role within the Eyecue engineering team. Eyecue is Fingermark’s computer vision customer journey system aimed at improving a customer’s on-site experience from beginning to end. It forms a key part of Fingermark’s next generation restaurant technology offering.

You will work closely with engineering and product teams to build technology solutions that enhance and evolve the Eyecue platform. You will spend the majority of your time working across the full product development lifecycle, facilitating requirement analysis, solving technical issues, conducting peer reviews and providing feedback, enhancing frameworks, and providing solutions that support successful product delivery.

The role is focused on technical delivery, including software development, product releases and engineering tasks. You will evaluate team work processes and best practices and contribute to improvements that streamline operations.

You will be part of a cross-functional product team of approximately 4–8 people, working collaboratively across engineering and product disciplines to accomplish engineering and organisational goals.

The role can be based in Hawke’s Bay or remote within New Zealand.

About you

You’re an experienced full stack engineer with strong proficiency in web technologies and services, and a solid understanding of industry best practices. You’re comfortable working across front-end, back-end and cloud environments, and you enjoy collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Ideally, you will align with a majority of the following:

  • A React specialist comfortable with TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, and modern styling via Tailwind and MaterialUI.
  • A builder of polished interfaces who enjoys working with D3/Visx for data visualisation, SpringJS for animation, and Storybook for components.
  • An experienced backend engineer proficient in Node.js, TypeScript, and designing scalable RESTful microservices.
  • Someone with Cloud experience in AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB) and Infrastructure as Code (CDK or Serverless).
  • Familiarity with using tools like Auth0, LaunchDarkly, Sentry, or Jitsu.
  • Full-cycle ownership of code, from initial deployment via Bitbucket/Git Flow to testing, monitoring and debugging in production.
  • A versatile developer comfortable in Unix environments and deploying to varied targets like AWS Cloud, Chromebox, and Android devices at edge.
  • A collaborative mentor who values code reviews, pair programming, and sharing knowledge with the wider team.
  • Someone who can turn high-level business requirements and designs into practical technical tasks.
  • An engineer who thrives in an agile environment and understands the importance of task prioritisation.
