Position – District Key Populations Associate

Location: Kabwe Project Office

Reports to: Provincial KP Coordinator for Copperbelt and Central provinces

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of District Key Populations Associate for the Stop GBV Now Project Office, Kabwe.

Basic function

Serve as a primary liaison between project teams and community teams for project interventions targeting persons at high risk of HIV infection and transmission. The District KP Associate will establish and maintain strong collaboration and networking strategies with a variety of stakeholders at the district level. They will liaise with other Stop GBV Now project team members to ensure standardized implementation of project technical strategies. The position holder will also be responsible for monitoring progress, compliance and quality of service delivery, evaluation and reporting at the district level. This position reports to the Provincial KP Coordinator for Copperbelt and Central provinces.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for engaging with the community for project entry, mobilization, implementation of project interventions and reporting.
  • Responsible for tracking, and reporting project interventions.
  • Draft, review and edit monthly reports on project activities.
  • Implementation of quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI) approaches for services and operations at site level in line with approved national Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
  • Represent the Stop GBV Now project in key meetings at community and district level
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with district stakeholders including all local implementers.
  • Identifies structural barriers to the uptake of GBV prevention and response services for key population groups and ways to address those structural barriers working with community and district stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development, review and submission of project deliverables, including; work plans, success stories, documentation of best practices, and progress reports.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements

  • The successful candidates must have completed secondary school with a GCE Certificate or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrated prior experience working with the KP community is required.
  • Demonstrated ability as a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports using Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Diploma in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
