About You:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will report to our Head of Engineering and play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing core backend services that power our platform. You will work closely with product, frontend, and data teams to deliver high-performance APIs, scalable services, and robust data pipelines that serve thousands of users.

We are looking for someone who thinks deeply about architecture, enjoys simplifying complex distributed systems, and cares about building reliable products that scale in real world conditions.

You Will:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Architect and optimize databases for efficient read and write performance
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines that support fast and safe deployments
• Work closely with frontend engineers to build seamless product experiences
• Own performance, reliability, and security of the systems you build
• Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
• Help us scale from early stage to a mature, high-traffic platform

You Have:

• 3 to 7 years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in backend development with Node.js
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB in production
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and working with DevOps tools
• Experience shipping products in a startup environment, especially from 0 to 1
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to deliver high-quality systems
• Appreciation for clean, modular architecture
