EXUS AI Labs, the R&D department of EXUS, is where we design and develop robust and trustworthy AI solutions that allow us to leverage the untapped potential of big data analytics across multiple verticals. Currently, EXUS AI Labs coordinates and participates in projects that have received funding under the H2020 Research and Innovation Programme, as well as national funding schemes such as Innovate UK. The Role:

You will join a multidisciplinary team of Engineers, Data Scientists, and innovation management Experts that excel in driving innovation in software engineering, A.I and data analytics, to foster advances in key sectors such as banking, security, health, finance, creativity, and lifelong learning. You will participate in innovative research projects that strive to improve the quality of people’s lives and the efficiency of provided services. As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for managing the infrastructure and as a software engineer for developing software solutions to address both everyday problems for individuals and societal challenges.

Requirements

Main duties:

1-DevOps Engineer

• Building and deploying application code to on-premises and cloud servers through CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure management and system administration through maintaining the servers, storage, and networking resources required to host applications

2-Software engineering

• Development of reusable and scalable backend services
• Testing, maintaining and improving software’s functionality and performance
• Documentation of application changes and software updates development

Required Skills:

• BSc degree in Computer Science, (MSc studies will be highly appreciated)
• Experience of at least two years in:

1. Git
2. Docker
3. Shell Scripting

• Experience of at least two years in CI/CD tools:

1. GitHub Actions
2. Ansible
3. Terraform

• Experience of at least two years in back-end technologies:

1. Python
2. Flask or Django or Fast
3. Microservices architecture
4. SQL/NoSQL databases

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in applications deployment on the cloud platforms:

1. AWS
2. Azure

• Experience in research and innovation projects will be appreciated

General skills:

• Excellent knowledge of English language (both verbal & written)
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Team player, self-motivated, constantly seeking new knowledge
