About the job:

• Setting up and operating modern on-premises data lakehouse systems in the petabyte range

• Focussing on lakehouse architectures and their components

• Implementation and support of the described components

Who you are:

• Over 5 years of experience in data platform engineering or platform engineering

• Extensive experience in deployment and operation of data analytics platforms

• Sound knowledge of Kubernetes

• Extensive experience with CI/CD technologies

• Experience in Python

• Ability to work independently and autonomously

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Business fluent German and fluent English complete your profile

It would be optimal if you ...:

• Have experience in deploying and operating technologies such as Spark, S3-compatible object storage, relational databases, Apache Nifi, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafka, Trino/Presto/Starburst and Hive

• Have a deep understanding of relevant security practices

• Are willing to travel

• Have a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in computer science or a comparable degree programme

Deine Aufgaben:

• Aufbau und Betrieb moderner on-premises Data Lakehouse-Systeme im Petabyte-Bereich

• Fokussierung auf Lakehouse-Architekturen und deren Komponenten

• Implementierung und Betreuung der beschriebenen Komponenten

Was du mitbringen solltest:

• Über 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Data Platform Engineering oder im Plattform Engineering

• Umfassende Erfahrung im Deployment und Betrieb von Data Analytics Plattformen

• Fundierte Kenntnisse in Kubernetes

• Umfangreiche Erfahrung mit CI/CD-Technologien

• Erfahrung in Python

• Eigenverantwortliches und selbstständiges Arbeiten

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Verhandlungssicheres Deutsch und fließende Englischkenntnisse runden dein Profil ab

Optimal wäre es, wenn du …:

• Erfahrung im Deployment und Betrieb von Technologien wie Spark, S3-kompatibler Object Storage, relationale Datenbanken, Apache Nifi, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafka, Trino/Presto/Starburst und Hive mitbringst

• Ein tiefes Verständnis von relevanten Security-Praktiken hast

• Reisebereit bist

• Einen Bachelor-, Master- oder PhD-Abschluss in Informatik oder einem vergleichbaren Studiengang besitzt
