Job Description

The Manager of Application Development is responsible for managing a team of software developers and IT professionals in support of the Eurofins Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). This role is accountable for managing the staff, work management, and IT software projects necessary to support the laboratories and clients of Eurofins Built Environment Testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of IT software developers in creating and maintaining in-house developed software
  • Work with laboratory management to identify business needs and solutions
  • Works with laboratories to gather requirements for improvements and fixes for LIMS system
  • Manages delivery expectations with laboratory and management for requested functionality
  • Works with IT Infrastructure and Support teams to ensure system availability
  • Designs and develops new software for laboratory needs
  • Provide tracking and reporting on software task metrics
  • Manages help desk support for LIMS systems
  • Manage systems that make up the LIMS ecosystem
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Chemistry or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience in web technologies
  • Knowledge of Vue.js, Angular, Java, C# preferred
  • Knowledge of Eurofins LabServe or Tracker LIMS preferred
  • Knowledge of Environmental Laboratory Operations
