Job Summary

To provide high-quality software implementation expertise to Enable customers. The Consultants act as the conduit between the Customer and Technical teams, providing guidance that ensures the technical capabilities of our software customizations match agreed requirements. The jobholder will also provide customization, installation, and integration support to customers either on-site or remotely. Additional responsibilities may include establishing and sharing best practices, as well as mentoring junior teammates.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands the requirements of customers within the project and helps define the technical solution to achieve a successful customer outcome.
  • Creates estimates for client engagement deliverables.
  • Takes personal responsibility for ensuring the customer’s problems are resolved.
  • Develops and maintains strong, productive relationships with customers.
  • Develops strong relationships with R&D and delivery teams, resellers, and system integrators.
  • Takes ownership of multiple solutions to maximize the value the software provides for Enable customers.
  • Actively contributes to the successful implementation of proposed solutions: writing code and resolving technical and design issues during the implementation phase and go-live.
  • Partners with Functional Consulting, Project Management and Clients to provide feedback on overall solution design and lead definition of technical solution architecture, ensuring that the capabilities of the overall solution meet the customer needs.
  • Acts as a conduit between customers and technical teams.
  • Works on multiple projects.
  • Maintains a high-level of technical competence and domain knowledge of ERP and Enable products, researching new releases and updates and sharing learnings with the team.
  • Provides solution architecture support and technical guidance to other members of the team
  • Identify technical strengths and weaknesses of team members and work with them to grow and improve their skillsets.
  • Provide training and ongoing mentoring to the team, including supporting Technical Design Reviews and Code Reviews.
  • Assess reported product gaps and raises relevant requirements to the R&D team.
  • Proactively identify and address internal process gaps.
  • Ensure the Technical Design of software customizations meets the agreed upon customer requirements are thoroughly documented.
  • Provides technical issue resolution for escalated Project and Support incidents and tickets
  • Leads by example through high-quality, hands-on practical development work and a professional approach.
  • Undertakes additional tasks, responsibilities, and ad hoc projects as and when requested.
  • Ensure all billable work is accurately tracked and billed effectively.
  • Ensure timesheets are submitted on time and accurately recorded.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proven track record in delivering outstanding technical solutions, requirements, solution design, and customer presentations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Relevant post-secondary qualification or substantial relevant work experience.
  • At least 5-8 years’ experience in ERP software implementations.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade RESTful APIs for scalable, high-availability systems.
  • Experience in identifying and driving process improvements.
  • Experience in coaching and developing team members, including conducting code reviews.
  • Experience working with key customers to deliver customization requirements.
  • Technical architecture, requirements gathering, and business analysis experience.
  • Experience in Finance, Supply Chain or Manufacturing with an in-depth understanding of related business processes.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • BS is Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience (8+ years) in a Software Development Role.
  • 8+ years' experience delivering customizations for ERP platforms, with an emphasis on major vendors such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing and architecting ERP customizations
  • Expertise in SQL performance tuning, .NET, and C#.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to support their career development.
  • Provide team leadership, including potential people management responsibilities.

Travel

  • Our roles may require some travel, with a typical average being in the region of up to 20%. Very infrequently, however, some customers at some specific stages of their projects may request a higher percentage of travel, sometimes up to 50% or more.
