They play a vital role in providing essential support to the Data Discovery and Enrichment team (DDE) by extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data. They also work with Product Management and Data Science teams. With their knack for analyzing data and extracting meaningful information, they uncover valuable insights and help achieve business outcomes.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst, you will provide support to the Data Discovery and Enrichment team (DDE) through data extraction, analysis, and visualization. Your work will enable the DDE team to make informed decisions and support business outcomes. You will be expected to have robust understanding of data structures, querying methodologies and tools, and visualization tools

Responsibilities

  • Providing data-driven commercial analysis to measure and monitor business performance within the testing prep business segment.

  • Support to the Data Discovery and Enrichment team through data extraction, analysis, and visualization as per business requirements.

  • Document analytics outcomes and methodologies followed.

  • Develop understanding of business context for each requirement and come up with relevant data.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable querying relational databases based on SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle and similar.

  • Must be able to extract, cleanse, and structure complex data types such as JSON, Structs, and XMLs using SQL/Python in Databricks.

  • Must be able to visualize data using Microsoft PowerBI with DAX based filtering and conditional formatting. Must also be familiar with setting up different data sources as input into PowerBI and implement automatic refresh.

  • Must be comfortable applying basic statistical concepts such as median, correlations, histograms to data at hand.

  • Ability to create scalable and modular data models for visualization.

  • Must be comfortable handling large data sets.

  • Must be able to function independently with minimal guidance.

  • Competency with workflow automation tools like Knime is a plus.

  • Must have clarity of thought/concepts and verbal skills to present rationale and findings related to analysis.

  • Must be able to function as a shared resource when needed which requires significant time-management and prioritization skills.

  • Curiosity to understand business needs and applicability of current task to those needs.

  • Drive to look beyond the ask and find areas of improvement and value addition.

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
