Our core mission is to make content universally accessible in any language and in any voice, pushing the boundaries of AI-driven speech synthesis. We began as a research company in 2022, driven by the vision of co-founders Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dąbkowski, who were inspired to transcend the limitations of traditional dubbing they experienced growing up in Poland. This led to the development of sophisticated text-to-speech (TTS) models built from first principles, designed to capture the nuanced 'humanness' of speech, a stark contrast to the robotic voices of existing virtual assistants.

Our technological breakthroughs lie in our advanced deep learning models that interpret the context in text to adjust intonation and pacing, resulting in remarkably lifelike and emotionally resonant speech. We've developed proprietary methods for context awareness and high compression, enabling us to deliver compelling and nuanced speech, voices, and even sound effects across 32 languages. Key innovations include our Speech Synthesis platform, VoiceLab for creating new synthetic voices or cloning existing ones with minimal audio input, AI Dubbing Studio, a Sound Effects Model, and the ElevenReader App. These tools empower creators, publishers, and businesses to produce high-quality audio content efficiently, from narrating articles and audiobooks to animating video game characters and localizing films. Our technology is already being utilized by employees at over 60% of Fortune 500 companies and has enabled the generation of over 100 years of audio content. We are committed to advancing AI safety alongside our technological developments, implementing safeguards like voice authentication and watermarking to prevent misuse.
