Elasticsearch - Engineering Manager - Query Languages, Vector Database. We are looking for an experienced team lead to manage and mentor a globally distributed team of Java engineers working on advancing ES|QL and enabling adoption by other teams and our customers. The role involves leading the efficient delivery of search enhancements with regular releases of Elasticsearch, fostering a culture of mutual respect, collaboration and consensus based decision-making, and identifying resource requirements and driving recruitment of high quality colleagues.

Requirements

• Experience leading distributed teams of software engineers
• Ability to work in a distributed team throughout the world.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to drive conversations across multiple teams to a conclusion.
• Previous experience working with stakeholders outside of Engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently.
