• Developing, deploying, and maintaining robust time series forecasting models to predict business-critical KPIs such as transaction volumes, fraud detection rates, and revenue trends;
• Designing and optimizing data pipelines to ensure efficient model training and inference in production;
• Implementing scalable forecasting solutions that integrate seamlessly with business intelligence tools and real-time monitoring systems;
• Applying state-of-the-art techniques, including deep learning for time series (LSTMs, Transformers), probabilistic forecasting, and ensemble methods;
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers to ensure that forecasting insights translate into actionable business strategies;
• Ensuring models remain accurate and relevant through continuous monitoring, retraining, and validation;
• Conducting research and experimentation to improve forecasting accuracy, reduce prediction uncertainty, and incorporate external influencing factors;
• Automating reporting and alerting mechanisms for forecast deviations and anomaly detection;
• Mentoring team members and promoting best practices in time series modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience in time series forecasting, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling;
• Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem for data science (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Statsmodels, Scikit-learn);
• Solid understanding of classical forecasting techniques (ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, Exponential Smoothing) and modern machine learning methods;
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for model training and deployment;
• Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (EMR and PySpark)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions;
• Understanding of the payments industry, including transaction patterns, fraud detection, and compliance requirements.

What would be a plus?

• Previous experience in a fintech or financial services environment;
• Experience with anomaly detection techniques for financial transactions;
• Familiarity with Explainable AI (XAI) techniques to interpret model predictions;
• Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis);
