The Clinical Intake Coordinator is the first point of contact in a client's journey to recovery, helping to assess a client's needs and direct them to the most appropriate corner of our network. They are responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical intake assessments for individuals seeking treatment for eating disorders, trauma, and general mental health challenges. This role involves facilitating the admission process, providing information about our programs, and ensuring a seamless transition for clients entering our care. The Coordinator collaborates closely with clinical staff, care coordination, UR/billing, and external referral sources to gather necessary information and maintain clear communication throughout the intake process.
What You'll Do:
Intake Coordination: Coordinates the intake process by working with relevant departments, obtaining required documentation, and ensuring a smooth admission.
Clinical Intake Assessments: Conducts thorough clinical intake assessments to understand the unique needs and challenges of individuals seeking treatment.
Information Dissemination: Provides detailed information about our programs, treatment approaches, and services through initial phone calls with providers, families, and clients directly.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Works closely with clinical staff, clinical operations, and UR/billing to gather necessary information and ensure a unified approach to client admission.
Communication: Maintains open and clear communication with clients, families, and referral sources, addressing inquiries and providing updates during the admissions process.
Documentation: Accurately and confidentially documents all relevant information in client records, adhering to privacy regulations and organizational policies.
Resource Referral: Collaborates with community and network resources to provide additional assistance and referrals as needed.
Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure a client-centered and cohesive treatment approach.
