We’re looking for a commercially driven Product Growth Manager with a strong business development mindset to bring greater structure, strategy, and customer focus to our growth journey. This is a leadership role for someone who understands how to identify and capture new opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and turn innovation into revenue.

Tekōwhiringa | The Opportunity

As Product Growth Manager, you’ll provide leadership and direction to drive product growth, working cross-functionally to commercialise and scale high-value offerings. This role plays a key part in strengthening customer trust, influencing stakeholders, and positioning Road Science as a partner known for integrity, customer-led innovation, and market expertise.

Key outcomes will include:

  • Lead and execute Road Science’s growth strategy across all business units.
  • Bring structure and strategy to business development—identifying opportunities, building pipelines, and growing our customer base.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful growth and performance of product portfolios.
  • Oversee the successful market integration of new products, particularly in Bitumen and other high-value areas.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with customers—listening, adding value, and positioning Road Science as the go-to expert in the industry.
  • Identify and remove barriers to growth—including pricing, positioning, and operational readiness.
  • Report on key metrics with data-led insights.

This is a full-time, permanent role that involves frequent nationwide travel, so the ability to travel and stay away from home is essential.
If you're not currently based in the Bay of Plenty but are considering a move, relocation assistance is on offer to support your transition. We're also open to remote working arrangements for the right candidate.

This role requires a confident, commercially minded professional who excels at building strong, trust-based relationships with customers. With a strong foundation in business development, your ability to identify and drive new growth opportunities will be what sets you apart! Integrity, strategic thinking, and a passion for delivering customer value are key to your success in this role.

  • Tertiary qualification in science, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in product management, business development, or strategic growth roles - ideally within infrastructure, manufacturing, or technical services.
  • Proven success of launching and scaling new products in B2B or industrial markets.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with R&D, operations, marketing, and sales.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and influencing stakeholders
  • Strong grasp of go-to-market strategies, product lifecycle management, and portfolio planning.
  • Skilled in commercial modelling, pricing strategies, and margin management.
  • Deep understanding of customer engagement in technical or industrial sectors.
  • Execution-focused with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
  • Strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
