About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A leader, the Sr. Finance Manager is responsible for driving FP&A excellence through consolidated budgeting, oversight, reporting and planning for all functions and business units at Docker. This role is highly visible and will interact frequently with the CFO and various leaders across the company. This is a unique opportunity to build the financial foundation, processes and rigor to support Docker’s rapid growth and execution into a significant market opportunity. The ideal candidate will leverage past experiences in strategic finance / FP&A at high-growth SaaS companies (ranging from early stage to IPO and/or public companies) to build and evolve Docker’s corporate-level models, tools, processes and business partnership to chart a clear financial path through Docker’s next phase of growth.
Responsibilities
Own and drive corporate FP&A activities including consolidated financial forecasting, budgeting and planning across teams, and reporting (including but not limited to the monthly close process, monthly rolling forecast, quarterly guidance, annual planning, owning the operating model and cash forecast, as well as Board and Investor Relations)
Establish a world-class, scalable financial “rhythm of business” and culture of documentation and asynchronous communication in partnership with the broader finance team and controllership
Implement and drive forecasting and budgeting process improvements and systems solutions that result in increased forecast accuracy, rigor, scalability, and operational efficiencies
Own and improve management reporting for leadership to analyze results and present forecasts, author clear narratives that describe business strategy and performance, assess business risk and operating health, and align cross functional teams to effective solutions
Build a deep finance business partnership with functional leaders and their extended leadership teams to drive regular business reviews, short and long-range financial planning processes, reporting and analytics
Build and execute processes that guide product resource allocation and other strategic planning initiatives
Own short-term to long-range plans, benchmarking and other corporate level models, investment frameworks and analysis
Build and lead a collaborative and inclusive team of high-performers to scale with the business
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in investment banking, VC/PE, FP&A / Strategic Finance, Business Operations or related fields
Deep understanding of B2B SaaS businesses, GAAP accounting and financial/operating metrics
Deep experience in financial planning and analysis, reporting, process management and data modeling
Deep experience utilizing planning systems and automating reporting at scale
Proven ability to influence across all levels in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Business partnership experience at the executive level; ability to summarize information and effectively communicate to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Strong financial modeling experience and a willingness to dig into the details is a must
Proven ability to translate insights into action, working with large data sets, translating business drivers into financial forecasts and distilling key learnings into structured frameworks to drive strategic planning and initiatives
Highly organized and effective planning and prioritizing skills; capable of executing multiple projects simultaneously
SQL proficiency is a plus
