We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager to partner with product management and engineering teams to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to delivery. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to drive collaboration across various teams. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will coordinate initiatives from discovery through to launch - partnering with product management, engineering, UX, marketing and business operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale software projects, ensuring they meet quality, scope, budget, and timeline requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, product management, and marketing to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvement in our project management practices, adopting best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Serve as a mentor and guide to junior program managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

  • Meet - your team, partners and key stakeholders for the initiatives you will be involved in

In the first month, expect to:

  • Continue learning (we love a growth mindset here and believe in progress over perfection)

  • Take over communication and coordination activities across initiatives

  • Begin to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to map out activities towards execution and delivery

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Be the go to person with status on active initiatives

  • Lend expertise to planning, coordination and dependency management across teams

  • Communicate roadmaps, status and roadblocks to the organization

  • Look for opportunities to improve processes and communications

In the first year, expect to:

  • Lead the structure and planning of complex software initiatives that run from concept testing to launch - in collaboration with cross functional groups and external partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a software development environment with a software company

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

  • Able to grasp complexities in place t

  • Proven track record of managing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience working with agile teams & facilitation.

  • Can break down complex technical problems into small, release-able, user valuable features in collaboration with the engineering lead(s)

  • Ability to explain complex ideas simply & tailor them to the audience.

  • Superior written, verbal, and visual communication skills
