Job Purpose:
The Informatica MDM Developer will be responsible for following the company's software development lifecycle, including designing, coding, configuring, testing, debugging, and documenting system and application programs. This role will involve assisting in the preparation of technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documentation. The developer will review functional requirements and design documents, providing feedback, and participating in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure quality and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle to design, develop, and test system and application solutions.
- Assist in preparing technical design specifications derived from functional and analysis requirements.
- Review functional requirements and design documentation, offering constructive feedback.
- Take part in architecture, design, and code reviews to guarantee best practices are followed.
- Develop IDQ mappings to populate MDM landing tables.
- Design and develop MDM batch processing and real-time API services to meet business demands.
- Work with Postgres and SQL Server databases for effective data flow management.
- Create and present design documents for system and application implementation.
- Troubleshoot issues by debugging data flows and performing detailed problem analysis.
- Oversee code deployments and ensure smooth transitions to production.
- Develop APIs for real-time services (BES) to support dynamic business needs.
- Handle event processing to synchronize MDM data externally.
- Review tester feedback, identify root causes, and formulate actionable plans for fixing issues.
- Manage the backlog of defects, ensuring prioritized resolution of pending issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience working with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, particularly Informatica IDQ and Customer 360.
- Proficient in creating IDQ mappings to load MDM landing tables.
- Hands-on experience in developing MDM batch and real-time API services.
- Expertise with Postgres and SQL Server databases.
- Experience in preparing and presenting design documentation for systems and data integration projects.
- Strong skills in problem analysis and troubleshooting, with a focus on debugging data flows.
- Familiarity with code deployment processes and version control systems.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience collaborating with Informatica Global Support and managing support tickets related to development tasks.
- Solid SQL skills for data analysis and validation activities.
