Project Analyst

DMI is seeking a detail-driven and analytical Project Analyst to support enterprise IT initiatives within a mission-focused federal environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects stay on track, stakeholders remain informed, and performance metrics drive informed decision-making.

Role Overview
The Project Analyst provides analytical and administrative support across IT infrastructure and operations projects. This position tracks milestones and deliverables, maintains project data integrity, prepares reports and dashboards, and supports Project Managers in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Provide analytical and administrative support for IT projects
Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables against approved schedules
Collect, analyze, and report project data, metrics, and performance indicators
Assist with development and maintenance of project documentation (plans, status reports, briefings, presentations)
Maintain and update project management tools ensuring data accuracy and consistency
Coordinate project meetings and document minutes and action items
Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies
Prepare executive-ready reports and dashboards for stakeholders
Support project scheduling, resource tracking, and workload management
Generate performance metrics and trend analysis
Assist with project communications and cross-team coordination
Qualifications
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting IT project management activities
Experience with project tracking, reporting, and performance analysis
Working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
Understanding of IT infrastructure and operational environments
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
Substitutions (per contract guidelines):
No degree: 2 additional years of experience
Associate’s degree: 1 additional year of experience
Master’s or PhD: No additional experience required
Preferred Qualifications
CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification
Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar PM tools
Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management frameworks
Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
Clearance & Requirements
Must successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation and/or obtain a Public Trust clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
