At Diagrid, we're on a mission to boost developer productivity by providing powerful tools and APIs for building modern, cloud-native applications. We were founded by Mark Fussell and Yaron Schneider, the original creators of the popular open-source projects Dapr (Distributed Application Runtime) and KEDA (Kubernetes Event-Driven Autoscaling). Our journey began from firsthand experience at Microsoft, where we saw the immense challenges developers face when building distributed applications. The shift to microservice architectures, while powerful, introduced significant complexity, forcing developers to spend too much time on connectivity and infrastructure rather than on creating value for their users. We knew there had to be a better way, and we are passionate about making distributed systems more accessible for every developer.

We created Dapr to abstract away the complexity of common distributed system challenges like service-to-service communication, state management, pub/sub messaging, and observability. By providing a suite of best-practice APIs, Dapr allows developers to focus on their business logic, using any programming language or framework they choose. After donating Dapr to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), we saw its adoption grow exponentially. However, we also recognized that organizations needed more than just the open-source project; they needed enterprise-grade tools and support to run Dapr confidently in production. That's why we founded Diagrid. Our products, like Diagrid Conductor, are designed to operationalize Dapr on Kubernetes, automating management, improving reliability, and providing critical insights. We are deeply committed to the open-source community and continue to be active maintainers and contributors, ensuring that the technologies we build upon remain robust and innovative for everyone.
