Nearshore Sector | Fullstack Java/Kotlin Developer

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will work on designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable backend applications, contributing directly to architectural and technical decisions while promoting engineering best practices. You'll collaborate with a talented team of developers in a dynamic, organized, and international environment where your analytical skills, technical leadership, and attention to detail will drive the success of our core systems. • Design and develop scalable backend applications using Node.js and ExpressJS, ensuring clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Build, optimize, and secure robust RESTful APIs and microservices capable of handling high-throughput production workloads.

• Architect efficient relational database models (SQL), optimizing complex queries and managing schema design to ensure transaction integrity.

• Take an active role in technical decisions, system architecture design, and the continuous improvement of the engineering lifecycle.

• Participate heavily in code reviews, providing constructive architectural feedback to team members to ensure alignment with corporate quality standards.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner, guaranteeing system high availability.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams to translate technical and business requirements into production-ready software solutions.

• Foster a strong DevOps culture by leveraging containerization (Docker) to streamline local development and production deployment pipelines.

• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, technical refinement, and retrospectives.

• 5+ years of proven professional experience in backend software engineering.

• Solid command and production-grade experience working with Node.js and ExpressJS.

• Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL), data modeling, and performance tuning.

• Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and securing RESTful APIs and service orchestration.

• Practical familiarity with containerization tools, specifically Docker, for managing application environments.

• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, along with continuous integration flows.

• Fluent or advanced English communication skills, with comfort working daily in an international and distributed team environment.

• Strong problem-solving mindset, technical autonomy, and a commitment to software engineering best practices.
