Linux System Engineer (REF4427E)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Expert Linux Engineer to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with enterprise-grade Linux environments, automation tools, and system-level administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across multiple environments
• Develop and maintain BASH scripts to support automation and system operations
• Manage package installation and system updates using YUM and RPM
• Configure and troubleshoot network settings including IP routing, firewalls, and connectivity
• Oversee user and group administration, including SSH key-based authentication
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and system provisioning
• Support ongoing infrastructure automation initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an English-speaking environment

• Proficient knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Intermediate or higher experience with BASH scripting
• Strong understanding of YUM and RPM package management
• Proficiency in network configuration, including IP management, routing, and firewalls
• Experience with user and group administration, and SSH key management
• Working knowledge of Ansible (basic level or higher)
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• Basic understanding of YAML and Jinja templating
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a professional communication level

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Proficiency in German at a communication level
• Scripting or programming experience in Python
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Possession of any RHEL certification (any level)
• Possession of an Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) certification (any level)
