About the Role:

Demandbase is seeking a creative, highly motivated, enthusiastic Senior Manager of Engineering to be a part of our ABX team. You will work in a fast-paced agile environment to build and deliver key initiatives for the company. The base compensation range for this position, not including the company bonus, is: $225,000-265,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead, mentor, motivate, and work with a geographically distributed team.
  • Provide technical direction by leveraging a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring scalable and robust system architecture.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define future products and product enhancements.
  • Manage employee development, conduct performance reviews, set clear goals, and ensure accountability within the team.
  • Run and improve an agile/rapid development process.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Define, track, and improve key engineering metrics to measure team performance and software quality.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
  • Establish and manage on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage and rapid response to critical incidents.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience leading high-performing software engineering teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in building large-scale enterprise solutions.
  • Customer-focused with a strong bias for action, high energy level, and an analytical mindset. Comfortable managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities and challenges in large-scale distributed systems, with experience in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, including experience working with both offshore and onshore teams to achieve goals.
  • Ability to continuously refine and improve development and delivery processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
