This job develops and implements search engine marketing (SEM) strategies for all business segments to drive leads, sales and revenue for Delta Dental of California. This role will oversee Google and Bing SEM strategies, optimize campaigns accordingly and report on a regular cadence. Supports Direct Individual, Federal and Veteran Programs, Small Business, and Provider segments through digital marketing channels.
- Works cross-functionally to develop and implement Google and Bing Ads strategies aligned with marketing goals, including brand awareness, lead generation, and sales conversion.
- Executes tests, collects and analyzes data, and identifies trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI in paid SEM campaigns.
- Leads and manages the bidding strategy and overall account optimization, ensuring the best results are being achieved by the team.
- Tracks, reports and analyzes pay-per-click (PPC) initiatives and campaigns.
- Manages campaign expenses, stays on budget, estimates monthly costs and reconciles discrepancies.
- Stays up-to-date and educates the team on the latest trends, channels and formats to deliver industry-leading work
- Supports YouTube strategy and executes aligned with marketing goals and KPIs.
- 6 plus years of experience preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree and experience and demonstrated success in creating SEM strategies to drive sales and revenue.
- Proven work experience as an SEM Specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency in using SEM tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager.
- Experience with GA4 and Adobe Analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented spirit.
- Have an independent and organized way of working and has previous experience working remotely across time zones and shifting priorities to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Have strong rapport-building skills.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications in SEM and Google Analytics are a plus.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $70,000 - $146,600
