As a Hardening Practices Engineer at Deloitte Global Technology, you will support the Hardening Practices Program, write security configuration baselines, and develop compliance policies. You will work with deployment leads and their teams to implement security controls and provide compliance reporting.
Requirements
- Strong multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think ahead.
- Experience with configuration and deployment of cybersecurity platforms.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, risk assessment, and risk management, computer networking (firewalls, routing, etc.),
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong influence, and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Creative and independent thinker with the ability to synthesize technical requirements, business requirements, cyber threats, and security principles into impactful, functional control recommendations.
- Knowledge of configuration, policy, and event workflows and playbooks.
- Motivated self-starter able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Well-organized and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Direct experience in supporting security tools (e.g., anti-virus, host intrusion detection).
- Experience working within a service management framework (e.g., ITIL).
- Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
