This position will work hybrid in our Mexico City office.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader of Software Quality Assurance (QA) to lead and drive the quality assurance practices across our software development lifecycle. This leadership role will focus on building and executing a comprehensive QA strategy, overseeing testing processes, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

You will work closely with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to establish best practices, improve testing processes, and mentor the QA team to drive the successful delivery of innovative software solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s QA strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business and product goals. Establish clear goals for QA initiatives and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality progress.

  • Team Management: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of QA engineers and team leads. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team. Provide coaching, career development, and performance evaluations.

  • Quality Assurance Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Drive the adoption of best practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and performance testing.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and operations teams to define quality standards, identify risks, and ensure early and continuous testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Test Planning and Execution: Oversee the creation, execution, and reporting of test plans, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

  • Automation Strategy: Lead the efforts to implement and scale automated testing, including the development of robust test suites, frameworks, and tools that enhance efficiency and coverage.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to product quality. Manage test environments and resources to ensure that testing can be conducted in a controlled and stable environment.

  • Reporting and Metrics: Provide regular reports on quality metrics, release readiness, and defect trends to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Use data-driven insights to advocate for improvements in product development processes.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for quality assurance-related matters. Clearly communicate progress, challenges, and quality issues to executives and other business units.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all software quality activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of quality across the organization.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role.

  • Strong experience with manual and automated testing tools, testing methodologies, and software development processes.

  • Proven track record of managing and scaling QA teams in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

  • Expertise in test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Deep knowledge of performance, security, and regression testing methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices and the ability to collaborate with development and product teams.

  • Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.

We'd Love to See:

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices architecture.

    • Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Python, GitHub, AzureDevOps, or equivalent.

    • Experience with mobile, web, and enterprise application testing.

    • Experience with utilizing AI in the testing process.
