Job Description

QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER positions offered by DATADIRECT NETWORKS, INC. (Colorado Springs, Colorado). Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts, automation applications and testing and/or QA infrastructure for all phases of testing storage subsystems. Evaluate, recommend and implement automated test tools and/or scripts and strategies to expedite testing cycles and improve overall testing quality. Architect, design, and implement test harness software, hardware and system solutions used for all phases of development and testing. Work closely with development engineers on new features during the development cycle. May be required to support development and QA team with lab management tasks including system setup, administration and configuration.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Technology, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field and 3 years of experience in creating, maintaining and fixing automation test framework. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Creating, maintaining and fixing automated test cases and scripts and executing them for “SAN and NAS” Storage Products to improve overall testing quality; Utilizing computer storage; Testing software; and Testing hardware. Education, training, or experience must include: Utilizing computer operating systems including Linux and Windows; Setting up lab computer hardware; Following QA methodology, functional and structural testing techniques; Utilizing source code control systems including GIT; and Utilizing SQA bug tracking systems including JIRA.

If you clear the interview, you will enter the main process, which can consist of up to four interviews in total:

  • Coding assessment: Often in a language of your choice.
  • Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service (depending on role).
  • Real-time problem-solving: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.
  • Meet and greet with the wider team.
  • Our goal is to finish the main process in 2-3 weeks at most.
