We are seeking an early-careerLaboratory Design Associateto support the development of 2D and 3D laboratory layouts and construction plans for standalone laboratory solutions. This role involves preparing concept designs, creating technical drawings, and developing 3D visualizations to support laboratory design implementation and customer presentations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams, architects, engineers, and customers to deliver high-quality laboratory design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create2D and 3D laboratory designs, concept layouts, and construction drawings using CAD and BIM software.
- ConvertMatterport digital twin files, BIM files, or point cloudsinto usable design formats.
- Develop3D models, renderings, and visualizationsusing tools such asRevit, Enscape, Twinmotion, or Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and internal teams to refine and finalize laboratory design layouts.
- Preparephasing plans and technical drawingsto support laboratory installation and implementation.
- Maintain and documentdesign change requeststhroughout project lifecycle stages.
- Provide accuratetechnical specifications and installation dimensionsto stakeholders.
- Ensure designs comply withbuilding codes, regulations, and drafting standards.
- Manage multiple design assignments while meeting project deadlines.
- Support team projects and perform additional drafting and design tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s DegreeinArchitectural Design Technology, Interior Design, Drafting, or related field.
- 1–3 yearsof experience usingRevit, BIM, or CAD-related software.
- Basic understanding ofarchitectural and mechanical drawings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience withAutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Unreal Engine, or Twinmotion.
- Knowledge of3D parametric CAD modeling.
- Familiarity withGD&Tand drafting standards.
- Basic understanding ofBuilding Information Modeling (BIM)andAutodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Exposure toVirtual or Augmented Reality tools.
