Job Overview
Davies North America is looking for a Senior Benefits Specialist to be responsible for assisting with the administration of all Health & Welfare and retirement benefits. Reporting to the Director of US Benefits, you will stay informed of changes pertaining to federal, state, and local requirements as they relate to benefits.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a solid understanding of various benefits processes, excellent organization skills, be a strong communicator with stakeholders at all levels as well as display discretion with sensitive and confidential information. You must have a minimum of 4 years of benefits administration with significant benefits and integration experience, possess advanced MS Excel skills and preferably have experience with ADP Workforce Now. Additionally, you will need to be familiar with HR metrics, dashboards, and HR business processes with superior time management skills and a high level of attention to detail as well as be able to develop/enhance processes and possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills while thinking critically to interpret data. This role is a full-time, home-based role position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in HRIS systems and maintain data integrity by running queries and performing regular data audits
- Develop and maintain complex HR reports and metrics using data from multiple HR data sources; data analytics and custom reporting includes reports for allocation/billing charges
- Gather, verify, and securely transport data as needed and develop efficiencies and/or streamline processes for data quality reporting
- Reconcile benefits invoices (to contracts and systems) including FICA distribution
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
- Assist the Director of Benefits in identifying the need for specific benefits in our company, researching the benefits market, and choosing the best benefits programs
- Implement new and manage existing benefits programs under the supervision of our Director of Benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and others
- Work with HRIS, Benefits team, and communications to create and maintain collateral for employees/HRBPs including new hire orientations, Open Enrollment materials, etc.
Special Projects
- Conduct ad hoc analyses as applicable
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the deliverables of special projects at the direction of the Senior VP HR and Shared Services team
- Work cross-functionally, internally, and externally, to specify and drive special projects
- Identify, track, and relay project risks; provide updates to appropriate parties
- Create procedures and policies for the successful implementation of new benefits programs

Experience and Qualifications
Required
- 4 – 6 years of experience in Human Resources and/or benefits administration
- Significant benefits and integration experience
- Working knowledge and experience with employee benefits administration
- Advanced MS Excel experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential, or PHR/SPHR, GBA, CEBS, SPHR

Position Type, Work Environment, and Physical Demands
This is a full time, home-based, salary, exempt position. This role predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
