What we need
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Sr. Engineering Manager to help lead our software engineering teams and drive technical excellence across the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our engineering efforts, from product development and innovation to team management and process optimization while also getting an opportunity to stay close to the codebase.

What you will do
- Technical Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the software engineering team, guiding the development of innovative and scalable solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the market.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing and self-empowered engineering teams. Set clear goals and expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide continuous feedback to foster professional growth and collaboration.
- Product Development: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and technical requirements. Ensure timely and successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.
- Architecture and Design: Drive the development of robust software architecture and engineering designs. Emphasize scalability, maintainability, and security while making strategic technical decisions.
- Agile Methodology: Champion and promote agile development practices within the engineering team. Implement agile methodologies to improve team efficiency and deliver products iteratively and incrementally.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain a strong focus on software quality. Implement testing frameworks, code review processes, and continuous integration practices to ensure the reliability of our products.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance engineering capabilities and streamline development processes.
- Project Risk Management: Identify potential risks and obstacles in project execution and work proactively to mitigate them. Anticipate technical challenges and devise contingency plans to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. An MBA or other relevant business degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 8+ years of software development and 5+ years of leading and managing engineering teams in a technology company.
- Strong background in software development, with expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, or Python with a focus on secure software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in driving successful product development and delivery cycles from inception to launch in an agile environment.
- Hands-on experience leading product development in a cloud based platform such as AWS or Azure
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
- Experience in recruiting and building diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
