Senior Snowflake BI Developer

Duration: Initially until end of March, with a strong likelihood of extension (6–12 months)

Role Overview

We are looking for two Senior Snowflake BI Developers to support an ongoing initiative within a global enterprise One Data Platform, built on Snowflake.

The role focuses on BI development, data modeling, and analytics enablement, contributing to enterprise-scale reporting and data consumption use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models and analytical structures in Snowflake to support BI and reporting needs

• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions

• Build and support BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar

• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to enable reliable, scalable data consumption

• Ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of Snowflake-based solutions

• Support and enhance enterprise-wide analytics initiatives within a centralized data platform

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong, hands-on experience with Snowflake, including:

  • data modeling

  • SQL development

  • performance optimization

• Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, CTEs, window functions)

• Experience with at least one BI / visualization tool:

  • Power BI

  • Tableau

  • Looker

  • or equivalent

• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and analytical data modeling

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with ELT / ETL tooling such as:

  • dbt

  • Airflow

  • Matillion

  • Fivetran

  • or similar

• Exposure to centralized data platforms or One Data Platform architectures

• Experience with Snowflake performance tuning and cost optimization

• Cloud platform experience, Azure being a strong plus
