Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is a leader in the fluid power industry, with components commonly used in mobile and industrial applications. Building customer loyalty is core to our strategy.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Account Manager. The goal is to achieve profitable sales targets and market expansion to support strategic growth plans within the French territory.

As a self-driven Account Manager, you will be responsible for the profitability of sales and customer relationships of assigned Distribution Accounts. You will plan, coordinate, and execute all sales efforts to achieve objectives and obtain a portfolio share while maintaining a professional relationship with each customer and working closely with Danfoss Business Units.

This position can be fully remote.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements targeted growth plans by exploring diverse, profitable opportunities and leveraging value-based selling techniques to address varying customer needs, while fostering strong and lasting customer relationships to surpass set objectives.
  • Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities through effective management and utilization of our CRM system.
  • Recognizes and addresses diverse customer needs, offering tailored solutions aligned with Divisions’ goals and values.
  • Leads and coordinates internal and external meetings and event sessions with stakeholders and partners, while promoting current solutions and innovations by showcasing the diverse applications and benefits of our offerings to maximize market penetration.
  • Collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure seamless support and communication, while skillfully managing indirect customer relations and prioritizing customer satisfaction to drive sales growth.
  • Work closely with global product management, supply chain, and R&D departments to ensure transparent and timely communication with partners, respecting different cultural and organizational practices.
  • Monitor competitors, track market shifts, and report on technological trends, providing insights to ensure a diverse and inclusive approach to strategy development.
  • Establishes significant connections with key decision-makers at all levels of customer organizations.

Background & Skills

  • Educational background in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • + 3 years of experience in similar roles within middle-structured international environments, operating in Manufacturing fields – Experience in the hydraulics industry is considered a plus.
  • Experience in managing the commercial aspects of a network of structured distributors, particularly in the French market, is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex and international settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence high-level engagement and build relationships; a good team player.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken French and English.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Curious, self-motivated, and proactive individual.

By 1945, the workforce had grown to 224 employees, and the company's international ambitions took root with its first sales company established in Argentina in 1949. The decades that followed were characterized by continuous growth, technological advancements, and global expansion. Danfoss embraced computer-aided design (CAD) in the 1980s and saw electronics become a significant part of its sales. The company's dedication to sustainability was also evident early on, with initiatives like a wastewater neutralization plant opening in Nordborg. Today, Danfoss stands as a global leader, engineering solutions that increase machine productivity, reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and enable electrification across a vast array of industries, a legacy built on Mads Clausen's initial spark of innovation in a small Danish farmhouse.
