The Opportunity
We are looking for a high-caliber Lead SAP PPDS Solution Consultant to take full ownership of our production planning and scheduling landscape. In this role, you won’t just be a participant; you will be the primary architect and driver of our SAP S/4HANA Advanced Planning solutions.
Our environment utilizes the DSC Edition (side-car) of PPDS integrated with ECC via CIF. We need a hands-on expert who understands the intricacies of the PPDS Optimizer and can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution.
Your Impact
End-to-End Leadership: Own the entire lifecycle of SAP PPDS implementations, from initial business blueprinting and design through to configuration, testing, and hypercare.
Optimization & Strategy: Design and execute complex optimizer runs, focusing on constraint-based planning, heuristics, and model-mix planning to improve capacity utilization and schedule stability.
Global Collaboration: Act as the onsite lead in an onshore/offshore model, translating local business needs into actionable tasks for global technical teams.
Technical Mastery: Deep dive into sub-daily buckets, telescopic time buckets, and multi-level pegging to ensure our manufacturing processes remain lean and responsive.
What You Bring
The "Must-Haves":
10+ years of experience in SAP Manufacturing modules, with at least 5 years of deep, hands-on functional configuration in SAP PPDS.
Full Lifecycle Ownership: You must have led at least one end-to-end PPDS implementation from initiation to go-live as the primary solution lead.
Optimizer Expertise: Proven experience configuring and executing the PPDS Optimizer (this is non-negotiable).
Advanced Scheduling Knowledge: Expert-level command of the Planning Board, Production Planning Table, Pegging, and Multilevel Scheduling.
Industry Context: A solid background in Automotive or Discrete Manufacturing environments.
The "Nice-to-Haves":
Specific experience with SAP S/4HANA DSC Edition and CIF integration.
Exposure to broader E2E Supply Chain processes including Logistics and Inventory Management.
Experience with Repetitive Manufacturing environments.
Logistics & Requirements
Location: Based in or willing to travel to Troy, MI. 100% onsite is our preference, but we are open to fully remote candidates residing in EST or CST time zones.
Travel: Remote candidates must be available for occasional travel to Troy, MI, or Mexico for critical project milestones and go-live events.
Communication: You should be able to explain complex optimization logic to a shop-floor manager just as easily as you do to a technical developer.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent senior-level experience will be considered).
