Shopify Catalog & Merchandising Operations Specialist

We’re Crop.photo a fast-growing AI startup building creative automation tools used by global brands like Lacoste, Urban Outfitters, Hoover. We help e-commerce and media teams generate, edit, crop, resize, and optimize massive volumes of visual content — from PDP images to banners and ad creatives — using AI-powered workflows.

Our platform helps brands, Shopify agencies, and merchandising teams automate large-scale product image workflows across Shopify, Shopify Plus, TikTok Shop, Amazon, Walmart, and modern commerce channels.

We are looking for someone who deeply understands how Shopify plus catalogs/collections management at scale, Shopify PDPs, merchandising workflows, and Shopify product image operations work behind the scenes — especially in apparel, fashion, beauty, footwear, furniture, and other SKU-heavy retail categories

What You’ll Do

• Analyze Shopify product catalog and merchandising workflows used by large e-commerce brands
• Create and test AI-powered image automation recipes for Shopify retail and marketplace workflows
• Identify repetitive Shopify image-production and PDP preparation tasks that can be automated using AI
• Work closely with Shopify agencies, marketplace operators, and merchandising teams
• Conduct audits of Shopify product image workflows across Shopify and marketplace channels
• Research retailer-specific image and content requirements across Shopify ecosystem
• Help define operational workflows for Shopify catalog onboarding, marketplace publishing, and merchandising automation
• Collaborate with product, UX, AI, and growth teams to shape new workflow automation features
• Help expand Crop.photo’s Shopify ecosystem and recipe automation library

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in Shopify merchandising, catalog management, marketplace operations, or Shopify ecosystem workflows
• 2+ years of experience working with Shopify or Shopify Plus agencies strongly preferred
• Must-have experience using Crop.photo web & Shopify app, including creating AI recipes and workflow automations for Shopify PDP images
• Strong understanding of how Shopify product catalogs, collections, PDPs, and merchandising workflows are managed at scale
• Experience working with large Shopify SKU catalogs in apparel, fashion, beauty, footwear, furniture, lifestyle, or similar retail categories
• Familiarity with Shopify marketplace and feed workflows
• Strong operational and product thinking with the ability to identify scalable automation opportunities
• Comfortable collaborating directly with product, AI, UX, and leadership teams in a startup environment
